ABSTRACT: This study examines strategies for promoting digital literacy among vocational students, aiming to enhance their technological skills and readiness for digital workplaces. The objectives were to (1) identify key digital literacy competencies relevant to vocational education, (2) assess current approaches and challenges in teaching digital literacy in vocational settings, and (3) propose effective strategies to integrate digital literacy education into vocational curricula. A survey research design was employed to collect data from vocational students, educators, and technology specialists, providing insights into digital literacy levels and educational practices. The sample size comprised 220 participants, selected through purposive sampling to include students from diverse vocational disciplines and technological proficiency levels across Nigeria. The case study focused on Delta State, recognized for its initiatives in technology integration and digital skills training. Findings indicated that while digital literacy was recognized as crucial, gaps existed in students' proficiency and access to digital resources. Effective strategies included incorporating hands-on digital skills training, promoting digital citizenship education, and leveraging online learning platforms for interactive learning experiences. Recommendations included enhancing infrastructure for digital learning, providing equitable access to technology resources, and updating vocational curricula to reflect evolving digital trends and skills requirements.
